I always wondered how you stopped bits in cake sinking, that’s ace!

I’ve honestly never had eggnog before and I’m not really going to go and buy some to try it. There might be some around this christmas though, I could try some with some Vodka…

actually if you wanted to keep the plums nicely distributed throughout the cake, don’t put them in with the batter when you mix it. toss them with a bit of the powdered mix (dry) and after you’ve made the batter, fold them in. the dry mix should help keep them suspended in nog-goodness.

Just as an aside… if you were to have dumped the cake out of the pan onto a serving platter… the plumminess would have been on TOP of the cake:)

Man, That sounds awesome, the cake that is. I tried playing an old Intellivision the other day, and I really sucked at it. Myabe you’re just getting old. Maybe the black thumb has worn off.
