Kmart and I spend most of our evenings together, and that means that we eat togehter most of the time. However, unlike the stereotypical bachelor, we only make frozen prepared dinners when we’re a) tired and lazy or b) home by ourselves.
We have a number of kitchen gadgets, and we use them all with varying frequency, but they all help make different foods that are off the beaten track.
For example, last week Kmart and I wanted to have pasta for dinner, but we had no marinara sauce. After a little tinkering with some tomato sauce and different herbs and spices, we came up with very delicious substitute for marinara. In fact, I may never buy marinara again.
Last night, we combined the marinara with ground turkey, and drizzled the meat sauce into crepes (homemade, of course) on which we had already sprinkled mozzerella cheese. It was awesome!
We have a few other recipes that I’d like to post (sorry, can’t post the sauce recipe. It’s going to be one of those legacy things that Kmart and I pass to our children) like the Bean, Beef, and Biscuit Bake, or the Smothered Chicken, but first, I’d like some info from you all.
1) How frequently do you eat a 1 or two step frozen/prepackaged meal?
2) How often do purchase food from a restaurant for dinner?
3) Do you have any simple recipes you’d like to share with us?
